Some people say music is just a noise. What these people don’t realize is that music has the power to transport you to new places, make you feel emotions and create beauty inside of your very own soul. Music can connect our brain, body and soul in ways that we didn’t know were possible. It can help us find ourselves when we are lost or it can get us so excited about something that we never knew was there for us before!

"I was playing Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in C minor, 'Resurrection,' when I first started thinking about death," said conductor Leonard Bernstein. "Mahler is saying that all we have is the moment of now." In his early 20s he conducted a performance of Mahler's second symphony, and it left an impression on him that altered his life. He spent much of the rest of his life composing music to be played at memorial services for those who had passed away before their time - music to help them find peace as they took their last song.
